Pic of the day- RP PRIDE!!

I graduated 11 years ago from high school, and the thing I miss most is marching band. My school, Reeths-Puffer has an AMAZING band program, and today they proved that yet again. The made made it to the semi-finals in the national competition in Indianapolis, IN. I'm so proud of my marching Rockets!!  Special shout out to directors Chuck Hodson and Brian Olian. Congrats to the band and good luck tomorrow!!

Sunshine chickens

Here is today's picture. The days are getting shorter and colder, so any bit of sunshine we get is wonderful, and the chickens agree with me. Here is Nugget soaking up some rays. The last few days they have been stuck inside, so they relished his chance to go outside to scratch, hunt worms in he garden, and lay in the sun. Love my chickies!

BIG TASK FOR MYSELF!!!

Hello all...I'm going to try something new.  I'm going to try to post a picture, every day!

I want you all to be part of my little slice of paradise, and I'm hoping this will be a fun, quick way to do it.

Here is my picture for today! SOAP!

I'm trying my hand at soap making, and here is my first attempt.  It's actually intended to be used as shampoo.  I got the recipe from an awesome video on youtube.  Check it out!

I used the same recipe, but different scents, and obviously a different mold.

I made it Sunday, and took it out of the mold today...now I have to let it sit for four weeks.

Can't wait to try it out...it smells lovely!
